We grow the feed that makes up the majority of our herd’s diet. In this way, we ensure high-quality nutrition, guaranteeing ideal growth.
Based on our knowledge and experience in raising and fattening cattle, we have developed proven, sustainable processes to ensure our clients’ animals grow adequately.
In our commitment to providing the best service and highest-quality product, we have developed our logistics department, through which we transport grains and livestock, for both our company and third parties.
As an agricultural producer, we control all information related to each calf as it enters our grass-fed pastures, moves into grain feeders and is sent to slaughter, ensuring that each batch for export to various countries is fully traceable. We know what they ate, how much, their health record, their age, the producer's farm of origin and any other biological/productive information that consumers around the world want to know about our beef. This traceability will receive a quality boost from 2025 with the mandatory implementation of electronic identification, promoted by SENASA.
Cattle raised for human consumption spend most of their lives in open fields, grazing on grass. When they are ready for the next stage, they are moved to specially designed pens that provide ample space, feed, water on demand, and health and welfare care. The time spent in the pens can vary depending on the commercial destination, but generally ranges from about 90 days for the domestic market to 150 days for export to Europe or the United States.
This means we grow our own grain in fields near our main facility. Corn is the mainstay of the cattle's diet during the corral-feeding stage. This concept is similar to the well-known "corn-fed country pig", a popular symbol of high quality in Argentina to emphasize the origin of the animal. The whole corn plant is used: the kernel provides energy with its starch, protein and oils, while the rest of the plant is chopped and ensiled, providing mainly fiber, which is essential for stimulating rumination, salivation and maintaining a proper pH level in the rumen.
